Is it time to have a rest now to eat lashings of good Christmas tucker? The final race of 2012 certainly was a Christmas Cracker. The trails at Windmill Hill and Porridgepot never disappoint as they continuously weave and swoop. The puddles soon dispersed so the going was generally very good under tyre, if you still had the legs to ascend those punchy ever steepening climbs. Just think yourselves lucky we finished when we did as the almighty downpour at 3.30pm sure wasn't something to ride in. I hope the course clearers and guys removing the arena found shelter.
So folks that's it for this year. We're looking forward to Round 3 The Hangover on the 13th January at Tunnel Hill, always a great venue with well draining trails. Please note as of today there are only 50 entries left. Thankyou for supporting the Gorrick and Army Cycling Union events. Have a great Christmas and New Year.
P.s. Series Points will be updated late in the week to enable any timing issues to be resolved.

Merida Brass Monkeys 1 The Winter Warmer: results and photographs
by Paul Howard, 25 Nov 12. Results [ 1» ] Photos [ 1» ]
The Merida Brass Monkeys Winter Enduros kicked off with the 'climbiest' course of them all, reputedly 1000ft per lap. Hard on the legs going up but oh such sweet fun on the descents, especially Bunker Buster and the last downhill to the finish. Given the amount of rain during the week and on Saturday the course was pretty much 99.9% rideable with no need for mud tyres. No doubt many riders have a story to tell which you can do on the Brass Monkeys Facebook.
Later in the week the Series Positions will be published, points are awarded to the top 40 finishers in each category. We're looking forward to Round 2 on the 16th December at Windmill Hill, Deepcut, otherwise known as Porridgepot Hill used for both the Are You Tough Enough Enduro and Gorrick races. Get your entry in early so as not to miss out.
