Gorrick Enduro - how was it for you?

As the dust settles on the Gore Bike Wear Enduro Challenge there'll be many households sweeping away the dust and cleaning out the 'meaty bogeys', not my words but a competitors! Fine dry conditions lead to a faster course than previous but just as unrelenting with a mix of steady climbs, fast flowing singletrack and some particularly windy fireroads.

The midway point of the series and a time when many riders are preparing for the first National event of the season was quite a challenge. A solid weeks worth of rain had settled in places leaving Somme-like conditions, whilst other trails remained dry and fast.

Surrey Hill played host to a stunning turnout of riders and a really great buzzing atmosphere. The course was described by many as hard but fair, a real mountain bike race course that tested enough so your legs will feel it in the morning.

After last month's tremendous event at Tunnel Hill we are at Surrey Hill for the second round of the Spring Series. Other than the series points to be won there will also be a Prize Draw, for all entrants over 18, for a holiday in Spain courtesy of exodus.
