The Exodus Spring Series finally came to a close at Porridge Pot Hill, Deepcut today on a course described by many as "classic Gorrick". There were steep ups and twisty downs on the dry course with not a single puddle in sight considering the heavy rain during the week. The slightly shorter course than usual gave everyone a chance to feel they weren't going to endure too much on the relentless climbs, though the Concrete Hill still saw many a walker. So now that we've introduced two new venues this Spring you can have your say on which course you felt was your favourite by voting on the poll. If you've got any really strong feelings please e-mail us.

The Series points battles came to an exciting finish with some podium places even changing during the course of todays races. Congratulations to all the riders, we hope you enjoy spending your prize money or treating yourself to an Exodus holiday. The full points listing is now published subject to final confirmation with the prize winners announced later in this article.

BumpyBikes.com awarded #50 to the fastest lap in the Fun Men. Jake Reed completed his first lap in 20:50 and went on to win the race. Perhaps we'll see Jake in Open next year.

A massive THANK YOU you to everyone who supported us this year; Exodus Holidays, the local bike shop sponsors, St.John Ambulance, Berks On Bikes for helping build new trails, all the Gorrick team, the weather for staying predominantly good!, and of course to you the riders for making Gorrick the best supported races in the South. We're back in September with the fifth round of the Southern XC at Surrey Hill, the Autumn races begin in October and expect a return of the Southern Exposure night racing during the Winter.

P.s. A quick apology, sorry for the lack of toilets and the resultant queues. Our supplier arrived with four but only left two and didn't return us to our full compliment. He'll have his head duly shoved... [I'll leave that to your imagination.]
