Yay, the sun shone all weekend! Who would have believed it after previous Gorrick 100's we could get such a fabulous day to 'enjoy' 10 miles of Swinley's finest trails. We hope you found the course a challenge but also fun with some classic singletrack sections and a good mix of climbs and fireroads. Congratulations to Jamie Newall who won the 7 lap event, as he did last year.

Want to make a comment about the day? Email info@gorrick.com with your pleasure or pain experience, or if you took photos email the link to where they're hosted to webmaster@gorrick.com.

Jamie leading out the 7 lappers

I'll keep this brief tonight as after 7 laps I need a rest too, so apologies for any typos!

  • Many thanks to our title sponsor Gill for the prize vouchers and 10% discount vouchers all entrants should have received, redeemable at 1st Gear Cycles. Also many of you will no doubt want to give our masseuse (Attuned Body) a pat on the back for rejeuvanting tired bodies. £96.28 went into the bucket for MacMillan Cancer Relief, so a big thanks to everyone who donated.
  • The collection for the Chiltern Air Ambulance raised £547.10 which will be presented to them at the HQ in White Waltham, Maidenhead soon. If you would like to be present please get in touch. Ken Pearce did a sterling job doing the collection out at the gate.
  • Looking ahead to our next event the fifth and final round of the Exodus Spring Series is on the 9 May at Surrey Hill. The start area and course will be different to today but expect some of the same trails again.

That's all from me, see you on the 9th.
