Gorrick Spring Series Finale

by Luke Webber, 06 May 04.

The grand finale of the Gorrick Exodus Spring Series gets underway on Sunday at Surrey Hill, Bagshot.

All the top racers will be there to do battle for a coveted Spring Series trophy and some great prizes from the best local bike shops who sponsor the categories. Exodus Adventure Holidays will hand out prizes for the winners of the Super Master, Sport and Expert categories.

However the course will be doing it's best to give no one an easy ride. Some of the trademark singletrack used in the Gill 100 will be making another appearance, as well as the 'granny ring grinder' climbs.

Many of the categories have not yet been settled - most notably the Masters, where beer swilling John Smith will be vying to moonwalk all over Mike Jackson's efforts (no, really!) And if neither Smith or Jackson finish in the points, Darren Shepherd could snatch series winner on the day.

It doesn't stop there - eight riders will be looking to get a silver medal in the Novice race and there is sure to be competition throughout the racing fields, everyone looking to push as hard as they can through the singletrack - reeling in the rider on the horizon.

The day promises to be a great spectacle, with racing for every ability from Fun to Expert. So why not make the last race of the series, your first and find out what racing with Gorrick is really all about.

Entry forms are available for the eager, but as ever you can enter on the day.
