East Stratton TrailTrax report

by Paul Howard, 02 Sep 04. Results [  ]

This popular venue and great pub made up for the nearly typical Bank Holiday weather as light rain just began falling as the final competitors finished, but as ever it was not enough to dampen their spirits or enthusiasm for gaining high scores. Three clearances were achieved but not without penalty points for late arrival being applied. So the top Soloists had a very close battle with only a few minutes worth of penalties separating the the top five. The Pairs riders also got their act together with 1970 points being the top score of the day overall.

We shall be returning to the Northbrook Arms in November with the same generous level of hospitality provided by the landlord; great food, a bike wash and a huge screen showing the day's sporting events. A quick mention must go to our ever faithful Mountain Trax for the product prizes.

The next TrailTrax is on the 19 September at Greywell, near Odiham. Just two minutes from the M3 at junction 5 the Fox & Goose will host our September navigation event with start times from 8.45am until 10.45am. Plenty of categories to suit family riders to racers and excellent prizes on offer from Mountain Trax, so why not enjoy a great mornings riding finishing up at the excellent pub on the Basingstoke canal?
