An early summers day on Saturday teased many of you into thinking Sunday would be warm too. But it never quite happened in time as the cool air hung around until the prizegiving, miraculously warming up for my ride back home! Luckily the trails had been blessed with enough sun and wind in recent weeks to dry them out.
Some new faces appeared at the top of the leader board; in the 3 hour categories Mike Richman won Veteran Solo Men with 1830 points and Dave Faulkner scored the highest of the day 1930 in Solo Men. The regular mixed pairing of Dave & Heather Monkcom took a clear win ahead of their rivals with 1620 as did Trevor Hillman and Warren Peters scoring 1690 in Pairs.
Newcomer Chris Conquest lived upto his name and somehow found 900 points in the 90 minute event, but returned seven minutes late reducing his score to a still very worthy 830.
