TrailTrax Results - Surrey Hills

by Paul Howard, 03 Oct 10. Results [  ]

We know a bit of rain doesn't put off you hardy navigators and it was great to see people make an effort to attend the final TrailTrax of 2010. Give yourselves a pat on the back. In the end the rain only lasted a couple of hours and by the conclusion of the prizegiving it gave way to a lovely sunny afternoon. There were many tales to tell but the overriding one was how the Tilford area is still good to ride - despite the sand - in all weather.

Scanning through the results there's a couple of notable scores to mention; first off Alex Bottomley achieved the highest score of the day with a clearance of 2010 points in 2hrs 49mins. And after plenty of trying hard at previous events with some in his own words "monumental errors" Leakey Fermor and Jason Fry finally took top spot in the Mens Pairs.

Our three events this year have shown that once again there is a demand for TrailTrax. New riders keep on attending swelling the numbers so encourage your friends along in 2011. Looking forward to next year we are pleased to announce that Gorrick is combining forces with another organisation to add two more events to the calendar and will be introducing new venues to keep the riding and navigation fresh. Long term sponsor Mountain Trax have agreed to continue their support and we thank them for providing all the prizes. In the meantime we have plenty of xc and enduro events coming up so for another type of challenge have a go at either the Autumn Classics or Brass Monkey Winter Enduro Series.
