TrailTrax Results - Tilford

by Paul Howard, 18 Sep 11. Results [  ]

The TrailTrax season came to a close at the quaint Barley Mow pub, Tilford, who came to our aid at the last minute no thanks to booking issues at the Institute. But the advantage of fresh food and good beer on tap may well see us use the pub for future events.

Trail conditions were excellent making for fast times and a few clearances, with only myself getting properly wet and muddy collecting in the checkpoints in the early afternoon downpours, all good fun though. Some riders thought that a couple of checkpoints were missing. I can confirm that all were in place with the exception of number 15 by the river where the yellow cord was still tied to the Farm sign but the clipper had gone.

Our thanks go to all the Gorrick team who have laid out checkpoints, assisted with registration, scoring, & cake baking! Also to bike shop Mountain Trax near Wokingham for their continued support in providing all the prizes. Sid Hardy deserves a pat on the back for introducing a Series Score Table this season and keeping it up-to-date. Congratulations to all the Series winners and Richard P Smith for taking the overall top spot amassing 7800 points over the course of the five events.

We hope you have enjoyed yourselves and look forward to seeing you all again at our next events such as; the marked route ride Test Valley Tour Wessex Challenge on the 2nd October, or the Endura Autumn Classic XC races. Full details elsewhere on the website.
