New sponsor for the Spring Series and news of forthcoming events

by Paul Howard, 06 Jan 03.

Happy New Year!

It?s that time again, and we are delighted to announce that Exodus Travels Ltd have agreed to sponsor our Spring Series for the next three years. So, we are sending you not only an entry form for the Exodus spring series 2003, but also an Exodus biking adventures brochure, which we are sure you will find interesting.

Exodus are the market leaders in mountain bike adventure holidays, and have chosen Gorrick MBC as their partner in providing information to keen mountain bike riders; and by generously providing several holidays for us to award as prizes, they are supporting our sport.

This support is in addition to our regular category sponsorship from your local mountain bike shops. Our race number sponsor, Mountain Trax in Wokingham, has also supplied a £1500 Rocky Mountain for a series prize draw, together with a £200 voucher from Fluid clothes shop in Bracknell.

The chance to win all these prizes should add an extra edge to the competition, and ensure some great racing. It is worth mentioning now, that many of these prizes will be awarded in an ?open to all riders? prize draw and not just to race winners. Full details and a prize listing will be displayed at Round 1 in February.

Looking ahead to the rest of the year we are already making plans for the Gorrick 100 Enduro Challenge on the weekend of 7 & 8 June, which will allow riders to complete up to 100 miles off road over the 2 days. There will also be more TrailTrax, and some Randonee events. The Autumn will then see our usual race format at some new race venues across the South.

So, the Exodus Spring Series kicks off on 2 February at Warren Heath, Eversley, Hants, look out for the new Super Master 4 lap category and changes to the age groups for Fun, Novice, Sport & Expert. Full information and details of all our events are available at www.gorrick.com or by phoning 0118 978 8884.
