The Gorrick 100 Enduro Challenge this Sunday
by Jon Lucas, 04 Jun 03.
Well the weather forecast looks good for next weekend's event and, with the 10 mile course lap cleared and set, it promises to be a great day whether you're up for the full 7 laps or just a couple. We already have a large pre-entry, prompted no doubt, by those wishing to avoid queing on the day. It is not yet too late to download an entry form and get it in the post. We have however arranged for some extra help on the day which should keep the Day Entries flowing.
If the weather is as good as has been forecast, please remember to bring plenty of water with you. Although we will have energy drink available at the feed station, it is a big lap, so please make sure you bring extra bottles to pick up as you need them.
This year's course will be similar to last year's with a good mix of hard fire roads and flowing single track with slightly more climbs and descents than last time and, we hope, a lot less mud!
THIS YEAR IT WILL NOT BE OPEN FOR PRE-RIDING DUE TO THE NUMBER OF RIDERS WHO WILL BE OUT ON THE COURSE FROM EARLY ON.
If you complete your declared number of laps then you will receive an engraved commemorative plaque and there are also over ?1000 of EXODUS ADVENTURE holidays to be won too.
