Hands-up... who enjoyed themselves at Tunnel Hill? Well everyone I spoke to both during the race and afterwards were certainly loving the course and grateful for the frosty conditions. Here's a few comments on Facebook tonight...
Roki Read - 2nd in 2hr Veterans: "Massive thanks to all the BM crew. If Carlsberg did race courses they would build them like you guys. It's one of the best race courses I've ever ridden. So much fun, variety and always something to look forward to. The great weather helped too :)"
Amanda Brooks - 1st in 4hr Veterans: "Awesome race and wicked trails today thank you all so much for all the hard work you all do putting the races on."
Caroline Wharton - 10th 2hr: "Thank you Gorrick the course was great, and relaxed but smoothly organised as ever."
With great trails and good conditions the racing was fast at the front as the usual suspects took to the lead. Two notable rides were from Phillip Pearce and Paul Hopkins who completed 3 laps just under the 2hr limit to head out for a fourth and final one. Paul closed a deficit of 3 minutes to Phillip and they finished together with exactly the same time winning their respective categories. Close racing for sure. You can review all the results and lap times yourself via the link above. Or checkout the Rider Comparison feature to compare yourself against others. Series Points will be updated later this week.
All the Gorrick Team bid you a Happy Christmas and look forward to seeing you at Round 3 on the 4th January at Windmill Hill (also known as Porridgepot) for the New Year Hangover!
