It's at this time of year when a lack of winter rain makes the trails ride better than in Summer, and without all the dust to choke your lungs. So apart from one squidgy patch it was just so dry out there and riding very smoothly. I'll leave it to some of the riders to make their comments from this Singletrack forum thread...
"Was a great course. Just the right amount of fire road vs singletrack. Not too long either! Singletrack was ace, those steep bits were soooo cool."
"Brilliant course, just brilliant."
"Was absolutely quality today - great course, decent weather."
Heath Warren was also the venue for the final event of the day - the Varsity Challenge, between Oxford and Cambridge Universities. Read more about this in Luke Webber's race report
Meanwhile the Exodus prize draw was won by Michael Paradowski, 29th in Masters. He'll be off to the Picos in Northern Spain for a week of cycling adventure. Visit www.exodus.co.uk to learn more about their holidays.
Many thanks to Ambush Adventures for their help and co-operation in letting us use their part of Heath Warren. We can heartily recommend them for a paint balling adventure or the new 'Airsoft' Combat Wargames, though sadly not whilst riding your bike. Visit www.ambushwargames.com to find out more.

Do your friends know about Gorrick?
We often read comments about our events on the many online forums but still people ask "What is this Gorrick you speak of?" Whilst we're trying to get the word around that our venues are amongst the best for racing perhaps you could encourage your riding friends to come along. Why not offer to give them a lift to the next race on March 14 at Crowthorne Wood and buy them a beer if you get beat!
