The Parrot Inn near Leith Hill provided an excellent base for a winters TrailTrax; great roast dinners, nice beer, and oh yes the riding - that was pretty good too on firm dry trails. The checkpoints were spread evenly over the peaks of Leith, Holmbury and Pitch Hills, with one teasing high pointer on the North Downs set just beyond the summit of a 15% climb. This didn't deter three riders from visiting all 20 checkpoints, albeit only two within the three hour time limit.
