The varied terrain available to course planner Julian from the Tilford HQ always makes for great riding no matter what direction you set off. And so it was that the TrailTrax competitors clocked up some good distances aiming for the elusive clear round, with just two riders achieving that both a good 15 minutes under the 3 hour limit. You can review all the results from the link above.
Relaxing post ride in the beer garden under glorious sun made the chilly early start all the more worthwhile. So it was great to see so many riders still in attendance for the prizegiving, which our thanks go to Mountain Trax for their continued support in providing the prizes. We hope to see you all at the next TrailTrax or the Gorrick Hot Challenge on the 21st May.

Sorry these are posted a week after the event, webmaster has been away.
The riders benefited from cool weather whilst out, with the sun making an appearance at 1.30pm in time for the prize giving. We have a few clearances in the solo categories, and one of the best pair scores we have seen for a long time. The Flower Pots were excellent once again, laying on a BBQ and their favourite beers for the happy riders. Full results download via the link above, and series results update is here.

The revamped Barley Mow at Tilford hosted the second TrailTrax Navigation event of the year. Conditions were favourable as always in this picturesque Surrey village as riders negotiated the challenges of the many bridleways, byways and sandy commons the area has to offer. Dave Brothers (an ex-local who knows the land intimately) laid out the checkpoints. He cleverly placed the venue in the upper most North East corner bringing land into play not used before as far as Bramshott. So get a high or clearance score required a good deal of new navigation and a fair amount of climbing. I wonder how much ascent the winners did? Let us know on the Facebook thread. Full results are now up.

The final TrailTrax of 2015 was set amongst the idyllic surroundings of The Flower Pots in Cheriton, with the weather bright and cool throughout the day. There were fantastic numbers in the solo female category especially which is encouraging to see, and overall the events continue to attract good turnouts. We are very grateful to Mountain Trax of Wokingham for their continued support and providing product prizes. The final series points amassed over the events were calculated with awards given to the individuals in their respective categories, some of those are: Jo Scott won the female rider category, Dave Brothers won the Vets, and Mark Humphrey was the Overall Winner with some superb riding over the 4 Rounds. Well done one and all.
You can put the maps away now and look forward to our Test Valley Tour Challenge on the 4th October at Andover, or try something different in the form of the Autumn XC races or Merida Brass Monkey Enduros, full details on the Gorrick website.
